One of the key things that I teach and do with clients is how to create an AI writing bot that is gonna help you to write, edit, brainstorm, and do it in your authentic voice.

As opposed to the generic AI slop that you get if you don't program it.

There are three key elements to that.

You don't need any coding skills or anything like that.

The language is just English or Spanish or whatever your language is.

As a writer, as an author, it almost pains me to say this.

But the reality is if you use AI the right way, you will be a better writer.

You cannot write your best book without it.

That really upsets a lot of authors.

But it's the truth.

It is absolutely the truth.

The flip side is if you use it the wrong way, your writing becomes terrible.

It becomes generic.

You get human slop as well, and you get AI slop.

I recommend that you create the first draft yourself and use the bot as an assistant.

Trained in your authentic voice and your style and your preferences.

Use it to riff off, use it to get feedback, use it to do real-time editing.

The elements, the style guide, context layers, et cetera, are essentially platform agnostic.

It doesn't matter whether you use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Manus, Genspark, or something else.

The AI still needs the same core information to write in your voice.

Do not build your GPT under the Create tab.

It will ask you a series of questions, then summarize into a fairly short prompt.

All of the input you put in is effectively lost.

Click on Configure.

Take all those elements, your Google Doc, that's your prompt.

Simply copy and paste the whole thing and paste it into this box.

That's it.

When you build this custom GPT, it's private to you.

No one else can access this unless you choose to share it.

You only get 8,000 characters to go in those instructions.

It sounds like a lot, but it's not and you can run out quite quickly.

The workaround is to turn it into a document and upload it.

You can have the AI use the style guide in the instructions as the first set of instructions.

But if it's not sure about something, it can go back to the actual sample in the knowledge and re-look at it.
