At the end of the day, all we were really doing still is copy and pasting stuff around for a big prompt to put into ChatGPT.

By kind of living through this evolution of ChatGPT becoming vibe coding, I look at everything that's happening and understand it in that way still.

I'm still just thinking what kind of context do I want in this message.

This is context engineering.

That's still the key.

A lot of people that get started with this go out and they download a bunch of skills and they just start poisoning their context.

They start degrading the ability of the LLM to actually know what you want, know what your business is about, know what challenges you have in your life.

I think people getting into this right now are at a big disadvantage because it just looks like this whimsical, magical thing that's happening.

And they don't really understand what is happening in the background.

I think 2026 is perhaps most likely the biggest opportunity you're ever gonna have in your life.

I don't think there's anything that's gonna be more positively correlated with your future wealth and success than how many tokens you spend in 2026.

Someone that doesn't spend any tokens is in rough shape for the next 10 years.

ChatGPT landed and then obviously changed everything immediately.

I was lucky enough to just buy in right away.

There was no doubt.

This is the future.

I'm going all in.

I still remember the day when on Twitter people started to realize that if you take the same thing you were gonna say to ChatGPT and you put it in a JSON format, if you put it inside of brackets, these LLMs actually understand what you're saying better.

So people started wrapping their prompts in HTML tags, basically.

Think of tokens as reps.

Don't think of tokens as an expense.

Right now, every token you spend on those subscriptions is like good money.

You're spending a penny for a dollar worth of value right now.

It's very quick and easy to build the fulfillment of the thing.

To build the whole system around selling the thing to customers and tracking all of that takes forever.

The people that have the biggest companies and the most success cannot keep up with what's happening.

This is one of those moments.

The big companies that are doing well have so much more organizational drag that they cannot keep up.

We're all waiting for who's gonna pull off the one person billion dollar company first.

It'll blow people's minds in three to five years that it's actually better to run a five-person team than a 500-person team.

The 500 person team is going to be so slow.

The production of the thing is no longer time consuming or expensive.

The coordinating between 500 people working on the same thing. that is so expensive.

The companies that are token maxing, the companies that are building into agentic. Shopify is the first e-comm platform where your agent can go and buy things.

The market does not realize a founder who's using AI correctly right now is going to grow so much faster than the market realizes.

I'm so sick still of having to deal with ThriveCart and PayKickstart and all these different things.
